Shaun Parry is a performing artist, director, choreographer and public speaker from New York City. He was an x-ray and lab technician before going into the arts. Mr. Parry graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Music, Dance and Theatre. He served as a full-time missionary for his church where a love for travel, languages and cultures was ignited. Since then he has taught, performed, choreographed or directed in Japan, Greece, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, England, France, Mexico, Peru, India, Kenya, China, NY, Hawaii, and most of the states in between. He has spent the past 19 years based in NYC where his career has spanned Broadway, Off-Broadway, National and International Broadway tours, the Metropolitan Opera, National Ballroom Championships, MTV and more.

Mr. Parry was chosen as one of the Top 10 Danz-du-Jour Master Teachers at the Edinburgh Festival. He was honored to carry the Olympic Flag in the Opening Ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics. He was a presenter and featured lecturer at the World Youth Peace Summit and a director/choreographer and panelist for the World Scholar-Athlete Games. He directed and choreographed David Archuleta (American Idol Finalist) and Stacey Tookey (So You Think You Can Dance Chor/Judge) in Chennai, India at the historic World Leprosy Day, 2011. In November of 2013 Shaun teamed up with Alex Boye to create the music video, "Smile for Life" (choreographer & artistic consultant). Mr. Parry was a speaker at the 1st World Parliament on Spirituality held in Hyderabad, India, Dec. 2012. His song, "Now or Never; A Love Song to Humanity" had its public debut during the closing Cultural Concert at this event on 12/21/12. Shaun Parry was the recipient of the 2015 Brigham Young University Alumni Achievement Award from the college of Fine Arts and Communications. The following year he was the Artistic Director and Keynote speaker for the 2nd World Parliament on Spirituality. Shaun Parry became a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) in 2019. In December of that year, his music composition, "It's Christmastime (a new trad. Christmas carol)," was published by MusicforMillions LLC. Mr. Parry is the President and Founder of Promethean Spark International a nonprofit organization that teaches essential life skills to impoverished youth worldwide through training in the performing arts. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of the LifeDance Troupe, the first-ever dance company comprised of youth from leprosy colonies. He is on the Board of Trustees for the Musical Arts Academy of Nairobi and a member of the Advisory Board for Rising Star Outreach of India. Mr. Parry was appointed a member of the Global Spiritual Leadership Council (the Council for the World United) representing Arts and Culture in Spirituality and enjoys traveling as a performer, guest speaker, teacher and director /choreographer around the globe. , , |
